Tensions & Triumph – Art Born from Resilience and Renewal

On view starting July 21, 2026 Submission Deadline: June 15, 2026 Arts Mid-Hudson (AMH) is excited to announce our 2026 Members Gallery Exhibition: Tensions & Triumph – Art Born from Resilience and Renewal!

In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, we invite artists to explore how these personal and collective experiences resonate within the broader story of our communities and our shared histories.

This exhibition will feature artwork that reflects personal and collective experiences of overcoming challenges and embracing growth. Whether shaped by personal journeys, collective struggles, or quiet victories, we are looking for pieces that highlight the strength found in overcoming.

All Arts Mid-Hudson members including 2-D, 3-D, and performing artists and writers are encouraged to submit artworks that correlate with the concept of creativity, expression, and artistic freedom. If you have a concept for an artist talk or performance around this topic we encourage you to submit those as well. All submissions will be accepted using this form: Submission Requirements:

  • All artistic disciplines are eligible for submission including, but not limited to, visual, performing, written, digital and video, traditional, and experimental mediums.
  • We ask for a minimum of two submissions for 2-D, 3-D, and written work.
  • 2-D or 3-D hanging artwork may not exceed 17 inches in any dimension including framing.
  • Written works must fit on one 8 ½ x 11 page at 12pt font and will be printed by AMH and mounted on foam core.

  • Video and digital work, if accepted, will be displayed on a monitor in our gallery.
  • Proposals for performance based mediums are welcome. After you submit your proposal, AMH staff will reach out to set up a consultation to determine if the proposal can be accommodated.

Arts Mid-Hudson (AMH), in partnership with Millbrook Vineyards & Winery, will once again curate an art exhibit in the loft space above the Winery’s main building. An Exciting Opportunity for the Winning Artist!

We are thrilled to announce that the winning artwork from the Art in the Loft exhibition will be featured as prints shared with sponsors and speakers at the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce Monthly Breakfasts, highlighting the importance of supporting the arts within our local communities. We invite all AMH member artists to submit work to be juried for inclusion in Art in the Loft. There is no entry fee; however, you must be an AMH member. You can become a member here: https://www.artsmidhudson.org/become-a-member

Strong nominations include specific examples, detailed descriptions, and clear explanations of the nominee's impact. Nominations may not be made for people, businesses, or organizations who have been honored in that category in the last 5 years, however, if you nominated someone last year who did not win you may nominate them again.
