2025 Dutchess Handmade Holiday Pop-Up Shop
Location: Arts Mid-Hudson Gallery | 696 Dutchess Turnpike, Suite F, Poughkeepsie, NY

Arts Mid-Hudson is delighted to announce the return of the Dutchess Handmade Holiday Pop-Up Shop, a seasonal showcase and sales opportunity for original, locally crafted works. Taking place in our Poughkeepsie gallery, this curated shop celebrates the artistry and creativity of the Mid-Hudson region during the most festive time of year.

We invite regional artists and makers to submit handmade works that reflect their unique vision and craft—whether shaped by hand, guided by a potter’s wheel, or produced using advanced creative tools such as fine art printers. All work must be original and created within the Mid-Hudson Valley.

This Pop-Up Shop will be thoughtfully curated with an eye toward the fall and winter seasons, including themes of Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, and other cultural or seasonal celebrations.

Our primary focus is on artists from Dutchess, Orange, and Ulster Counties, but we warmly welcome submissions from artists across the entire Hudson Valley.

CHARM Mural Projects

In partnership with the New York State Council on the Arts, artists are welcome to submit their vision for a commissioned mural at one of three sites in Dutchess, Orange, and Ulster Counties. Through this mural opportunity, Arts Mid-Hudson will work with our partners to celebrate the Hudson Valley’s vibrant land, culture, and people.

Three Mural Sites:

  • Harana Market, 5125 US-209, Accord, NY
  • Orange County School of Dance, 22 Lake St., Monroe, NY
  • Millbrook Vineyards & Winery, 26 Wing Road, Millbrook, NY

Artists can submit proposals for one or more sites. No artist will be selected to create more than one mural.

Deadline: Monday, September 22, 2025, at 11:59 PM

Together, these locations reflect the Hudson Valley’s unique identity. A bountiful landscape alive with arts, culture, and food, all grounded in a strong sense of community. We are fortunate to live in a place that supports artists and local entrepreneurs, and we aim to commission murals that reflect the core values of the Hudson Valley.

Funding for the selected artists:

  • The selected artists will receive a total of $12,000 each. Upon returning the contract, the artists will receive an initial payment of $6,000. The remaining $6,000 will be paid upon completion of the project.
  • Arts Mid-Hudson will cover approved materials expenses, equipment rental, and insurance expenses. Artists will itemize their expenses in coordination with Arts Mid-Hudson’s Project Manager and submit them to Arts Mid-Hudson for approval.

Arts Mid-Hudson is a nonprofit arts service organization founded in 1964, dedicated to strengthening and supporting artists and arts organizations in Dutchess County and the Mid-Hudson Valley region.
